The Forge Of Mars Lee M's Engines
My own Astorum Engines
Weird_Wolf_Games Gryphonicus Engines
Drake_Seta's Mortis Engines
Honey the Destroyer's Vulcanum Engines - Along with Mortis, my opposition for the day
Lord TITANium's Crucius Engines
Lord TITANium Halfpenny and the really Big Crane...
Jordan's Praesigius Engines

Warlord Dominus Victoria bagged herself a Vulcanum Warlord kill (WLT0002) so a great day was had by all. The venue was good, secure parking, pre-day set up of terrain and local hotels and restaurants all nearby. It was great seeing old friends and making new ones amongst the TOC Members and getting to chat with the public about ForgeWorld titans, painting, Titan Owners Club and construction of Titans.

Titan Owners Club at the London ExCel - Salute51 - Pre-Event 'Training'

Ahead of this weekend's Titan Owners Club demonstration Walk at Salute51 at the London ExCel centre, Lord TITANium Halfpenny and I had a trial run with our forces, hopefully on the event we will be on the same side but we have faced off against eachother times before (depends on numbers of Members attending) and we can assume the role as Ex-Crucius or Ex-Astorum if needed, not all the Horus Heresy was documented.

If you are around in London and coming to the Salute convention, come say hi - you won't be able to miss us! Look out for the shouts of "Engine Kill!"
### Here was a quick vid vox transmission ###
Lord H's Legio Crucius forces, A support Warhound, 3x Ursus Claw Warhounds in a Squadron, a Warlord and two Reavers, one Close Combat, one ranged.
Siph's Legio Astorum comprised of 3x Warlords and a squadron of Warhounds armed with Las/Plas.

Lord H had the first initiative roll so opened proceedings. The strange skull shaped terrain provided some cover or choice of avenue of attack...

The walk had some fantastic moments - the Ursus Claws causing major damage to Rapture Astra' legs, and then to have all 3 warhounds charge into Dominus Victoria - killing the fabled engine with melee attacks, and then a final melta shot to finish her off- however the resultant explosion of her reactor killed 2 hounds, and crippled the third, which was easily picked off.

Final totals saw Cruicus take 2 warlord kills, against the 7 kills (2 of those in the explosion) of Astorum..

Awesome mini walk!

Cheers, Princeps Lord TITANium Halfpenny and Princeps Siph

Legio Astorum Warlord Titan #4 - Forge World No. 258 - Raptor Astra - COMPLETED

Warlord Titan "Raptor Astra" Walks!

Welcome Titanseers, thanks for dropping by. I have finished the Rites of Colour of my 4th Warlord, "Fourth you say? But we've only seen two so far?!" Yes, indeed but this has been completed well ahead of my 2nd I started but which is still in it's box with the exception of one arm weapon and it's proud Lucius Head. And my 3rd Warlord came unexpectantly when Warlord No.10 came up for sale and I had to have it - I already have FW Mars Warhound No.10 and FW Reaver No.10, so had to purchase FW Warlord No.10... ;) and yes I am still on the prowl for Warbringer No.10 and ancient Lucius Warhound No.10 if anyone see's them for sale!

But, here is "Raptor Astra" (Star Chaser) of Legio Astorum. Warlord No.258 from Forge World.
Warlord No.258 came up for sale at a great price and was already built and painted to an excellent standard. Seen HERE. But the blue was slightly different from my own Astorum Blue (Kantor Blue) so I have steadily been undergoing the Rites of Colour for the armour panels (re-painting).
The mighty Sunfury Plasma Annihilator ready to unleash a caged sun to incinerate the enemies of the Emperor and Omnissiah.
At the rear you can see the preserved yellow Pauldron armour plates from Alan G's scheme. Whilst I repainted the trim, I preserved these two panels - the front panels however where re-painted blue as I like  my Astorum Titans to be mainly blue with just yellow accents and Heads (of course). The Princeps is quietly having a break on the rear boarding platform...
Maybe a Tabac smoker or grabbing some fresh air/smell of burnt enemies?
The rear of the banner, designed and printed by Drake Seta (Battle Bunnies blog) and Titan Owners Club.
I added some Knight House Malinax debris from the latest vanquished foe on the base.
The head was swapped out from Alan G's original as the Mars Alpha head is not my favourite and Warlord "Ex-Noctia" No.10 already has that style. So I bought a Mars-Beta available from Warhammer World, and painted that up.
The Heraldic Shields used the now OOP Legio Astorum Titan decals from Forgeworld, luckily I have some saved, for this project and several other Titans in the to-do pile! The yellow stripes on the chest armour echo the design on "Dominus Victoria" and "Ex-Noctia", their's being white and red stripes respectively. I went with yellow as the original paint scheme had large yellow Pauldrons up top, now re-painted blue, but an accent remains as well as the rear facing armour panels.
The black sun eclipse motif of Legio Astorum, from the FW decals and extended by overpainting to the edge. These are designed for the Shoulder pads.
Legio Astorum often adorn the Titans with star maps to show the battle honours, depicting previous battles and conquests.
I preserved the head cowling armour in the black and white scheme, a nice nod to the previous owner and scheme before that (once was painted Mortis and then stripped) but also a nice nod to their closest allied Titan Legio, Legio Crucius of Lord TITANium Halfpenny's.
Here is "Raptor Astra" leading the charge alongside "Dominus Victoria" (L) and "Ex-Noctia" (R). The spearhead of Legio Astorum's "Emperor's Halo" Maniple.
This is the other armament already completed for my Warlords, a Arioch Power Claw with in-built Vulcan Mega Bolter array.
And if you wondered how these get transported to events, you can see the magnetised parts and spare weapon option. All interchangeable between all the Warlords I have. The waist is also magnetised which means a much easier transportation broken down into bubble-wrapped pieces. Thanks to Alan G. for selling me the titan and doing a superb job on the construction and metallics of the superstructure.

Legio Astorum - Warlord Titan #4 - Work in Progress - Forge World Mars Beta Head

Welcome Titanseers, I am making great progress with the Rites of Colour with Warlord No.258 "Raptor Astra", as I re-paint the scheme to match my others. Well, my least favourite head design for the Warlord Titan from Forge World is the Mars-Alpha original, so I substituted this head with a new Warhammer World Exclusive Mars-Beta version. Above you can see the prep work, scoring the surfaces ahead of gluing and painting up the crew before the head is painted.
Two sub-assemblies make painting the interior easier.
Once the sub-assembly of the rear part of the head was painted internally, the crew were glued into position.
The Mars-Beta version comes with these more angular pointy heraldic shields I opted not to use for "Dominus Victoria" so even though both Warlords have Mars-Beta heads, the shields are different. This one I use for the personal heraldry, this one being a yellow chevron. The centre boss icon was cut away and a different Legio Astorum decal used as the centre, ensuring all four Warlords have individual heraldic designs.
The right hand (left as looking) I use as the standard Warlord designation heraldry, both are from the OOP Forge World Legio Astorum decal sheets.
The heraldic shields are fitted in place either side of the head.
The newer head (bottom) was painted with more chipping and weathering to match Alan G's weathered look, I like this as it shows different stages of repair/use/battlefront time inbetween maintenance and re-dedications of these God Engines. I chose to differentiate further by painting the rear trim of the newer Mars-Beta head with silver trim.
Here are both Princep Majoris sitting proud on their Command Thrones.
Not bad match to the original job I did on "Dominus Victoria" five years ago now. The Rites of Colour continue for "Raptor Astra", Warlord No.258 will Walk soon!

Chaos Daemons - Greater Daemon of Nurgle - Great Unclean One #2

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by, this is scheduled as I am away. I have another great offering to the Chaos Gods, a disgusting and resilient one, an embodiment of Papa Nurgle itself - a second Great Unclean One.
This was an eBay purchase which I have added some washes too and some details, plus redoing the base to match my own bases. The use of the Rotigus tentacles arm was a nice touch to make it look different from the flail armed GUO.
I added Agrax to the lower half of the miniature and a lot of sand and gravel to the base before repainting it. I also added some green wash to the folds of skin to get it similar to the current GUO and Scabeiathrax FW resin GUO I already have.
The previous owner did a nice subtle conversion to add the large Plague Sword as well as the Plague Dagger.
I really enjoyed this process, and have a Rotigus kit yet to do. I may attempt that following the same process as my first GUO, and changing the washes slightly for a different finish.

Cheers, Siph
